2009 Spring Soccer

Jack LOVES soccer and has had another great season with the YMCA Titans Team. He had a few rain-out games so we've been playing make-up games this week and Jack has been so excited to finally get to play.

We had wanted that from the start...so we think her name will be:

Olivia "Liv" Louise Erck

But we'll have to wait and see her first to be official!!:)

Kentucky Derby 2009

Many of you know our story, but for those who don't...john and I met at Churchill downs in '96 as college students studying sports journalism...we followed the sports media for the week leading up to the Derby and forever have fallen for "Derby Day" and each other :) We have seen 3 derby races and yesterday's trip was a total gift and surprise.

Waiting on Baby...

Jack and Ava are getting so excited to meet their new baby sister in May...we all can't wait! It is getting so close now and my wonderful friend and photographer, Andrea Hallgren, came over to capture some of the excitement. Thank you for these lasting memories, Andrea. So often I shoot for others and never take time to capture my own life. What a gift!

The Season to Hunt for Eggs!

We've been to 4 egg hunts in two days...and it's still 10 days to Easter!

Mommy and Daddy got to see Ava's class sing a few Easter songs, have a pot-luck lunch and then egg hunt at her preschool this week. We're out for Spring Break now!

Jack at Pre-K

Jack is finishing up his 3rd year at East Brentwood Presbyterian PreSchool. He LOVES school and his teacher, Ms. Karen. Can't believe next year is the big K!
