Our Valentines...
We usually make our valentines for the class exchange, but this year, I had an urge to shoot some photos in their bedrooms and thought they were just perfect for Valentines...so here they are! Have a great February...

It's a Girl!
We're excited to announce that we found out today we're having a baby GIRL, due on May 28!
Just before the ultra-sound tech looked, she asked both our kids, Jack and Ava, what they thought the baby was going to be. Jack said. "a boy." and Ava yelled, "a GIRL!" John and I looked at the tech and said....."this is exactly why we want to know this time..."
and so she looked around the screen and said...."well I know, do you?" (asking me) and I said, "A boy?" and she said NO......and I said "A girl?!" and she said "yes, most definitely." Ava yelled "I knew it was a girl, and I'm going to share my room!" And Jack....well......he slunk to the ground and started to pout, sort of sniffle...It really made it hard for John and I to be happy or sad or do anything. But I guess this is the reason we decided to know this time in advance. We want both of our kids to be happy and not everyone can get what they want in all reality......but the most exciting thing is SHE is perfectly healthy and exactly on track for all her measurements and growth and anatomy...it's all there, it's all as it should be. This is the news john and I wanted to hear most of all.
We are all still in a state of shock as we are not used to finding out this way.....it is good to know, but different from holding the baby in your arms as you find out in the delivery room.

P.S. Funny thing is, we do have ONE girl name we both agree on. Not announcing that yet though:)

We had a fun morning adventure to the Walden Pumpkin Patch in Nolensville. Just down the road, a little farm has all kinds of animals to feed/pet and tons of things for the kids to do...a corn maze, hay mountain and we got to pick the best pumpkins for our fall decorations!
